Let’s meet Cedric Weber, a young ambitious and talented German tattoo artist who’s still working on a very personal style, between Traditional and Neo Traditional. His tattoos are so much appreciated for their elegance, so that he published a tattoo eBook with lots of beautiful sketches… Let’s find out more!
Would you like to introduce yourself to our readers?
I’m Cedric Weber, from Essen (Germany) and I’m 28 years old.
When did you start tattooing?
I started tattooing in 2014, but I was obsessed with tattoos since I was a kid.
How would you define your style?
I would say I tattoo a mixed style, between Traditional and Neo Traditional. Or a Traditional with a fancy Neo twist! Most people say that my tattoos are elegant, and that’s pretty cool! In the end, I would say that I try my best to do long lasting tattoos that can still look good after many years.
Did it change over time?
When I started tattooing, I would say I was more into Neo Traditional but after some time I realized that my style needed a more serious, more Traditional twist.
Beside tattooing, is it important for you to also paint and draw?
In my point of view it’s very important to practice drawing and painting all the time. I really like to scribble ideas that I’ve got in my head, and transform them into a final panting or tattoo.
What are your favourite subjects?
I really love to do ladies’ heads, in every variation. Especially with animals and other classic tattoo designs.
Where did the idea of your eBook come from?
I always wanted to publish a book with my sketches and I hope I can inspire people with my drawings. Even if my drawings are kind of simple and rough in some way. It’s funny to see what happens to the sketches, after I did a stencil and when I work on the final tattoo.
What are your projects for the future?
My plans for the future are to get better and better, and to work in different studios or conventions all over the planet.
