When did you start tattooing and how would you define your style?
I did a traditional apprenticeship, and a bit more… hard to explain in a nutshell. I started my apprenticeship in 2008, and even if I started tattooing in every style, I early understood that I could make a difference through calligraphy and lettering. And than I got bored, so I started to go on a new direction, some weird detour that helps me to create whatever I do. At this point I would define it as a detour.

Did it change over time?
Yes, it did. I started as calligraphy, and now is nothing! It changed a lot. It’s funny, one of the reasons I stared not to write anymore, was my clients arriving at the appointment, and when I asked them “What do you wanna write?” they would answer “Nothing! I just want your thing”… So I just started to go 100% abstract, and now people ask me if I can write something.

Besides tattooing, is painting and drawing also important for you?
Yes, it is. I like to experiment, so I create on many different medias. Such as canvas or paper, wood or metal. And all of them help me on the others. Tattooing is for sure my favorite, and my life. There is nothing that makes me feel like tattooing, for some reason, when I tattoo I feel like I really do something, like I really offer society something… For everything else, I always feel a bit guilty.

What are your favourite subjects and techniques?
This is hard to answer, but let me try. At this moment, I am obsessed with sleeves. I found that creating a sleeve, is the foundation of a bodysuit, and one day I hope that will be my obsession. Every style can work, but if you can’t make a “sleeve” out of it, you are missing on something.

Where did the idea of your eBook come from?
Again, this was a moment. I have to say that if I had the invitation now, the result would be different. But at that moment, that was what I felt.  I am a glad that Miki and I spoke when we spoke and that it happened that way. I was really into drawing a lot at that time. Now I focus on my private life and my home. For sure it would have been harder.

What are your projects for the future?
I am planning to start more and more large scale tattoos and move on to bodysuits. My plan for the future is to be happy and loyal to myself and to the ones around me. No mater what, no mater how.
